It's Happening Again

We found out today that Teagan is bullying kids at school.  Same kind of thing as what was going on almost a year ago.  She's very purposefully verbally cruel to other kids, she sets them up to knock them down, and she has added disrespect and attitude towards adult caregivers to the mix.

And now that she's been "outed" to us (the aftercare program has been dealing with this for "a while," they said), she spent the evening being very verbally cruel to herself.

I don't have a lot to say that I didn't already say a year ago

I'm sending a message to the guidance counselor and after talking wth her, I might be calling our family doctor.

And I'm already praying- a lot.  And asking for prayers.  Because I don't have the answers.  I'm confused and frustrated and scared and angry and embarassed and tired.

Oh, Liz, I'm sorry to hear that. I really hoped that Teagan was doing better with some of the changes you have implemented. I won't pretend to have any clue how to fix it but I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

Have you read The Bully, The Bullied and The Bystander. It's a good read. I checked it out from the library several months ago. I need to buy it so I can revisit it when stuff like this starts happening with my kids.

Liz, I'm so sorry. :( I really admire your parenting and unfortunately good parenting does NOT automatically prevent bullying or other acting out. But good parenting certainly helps get through these times. Praying for you to have wisdom and strength, and praying for Teagan too.

Liz, I am so sorry for all that you are going through. Although my daughter did not bully, she does have ADHD and just handling her sometimes is exasperating. Continue to seek God as you are doing and get some rest. God can handle this.

*massive hugs* It's never simple and easy is it? Reach out and take advantage of whatever professional help you have access to, it sounds to me like both Teagan and you and Jeff could use the support.

I wish the school would have reported it sooner. The sooner the better. I too am sorry you guys are going through this. It's totally not your fault.

All you can do is keep on putting one foot in front of the other and doing the best that you can. I will pray for all of you.

I'm sorry, Liz. I hope you guys are able to get to the bottom of this soon. Teagan seems like such a sweet girl.
