Things I Learned While Moving
1. Saying goodbye to my old space was easier than I thought it would be.
2. If you are the person in charge of all the moving of all the offices and equipment, your job is VERY stressful.
3. If you work for the person who is in charge of all the moving of all the offices and equipment, your job is even harder because you have all the physical labor and you might have a boss who is quick to be an asshole and yell at you for dumb stuff for no reason in front of the people that you are moving.
4. Throwing stuff away as you are packing can feel really awesome.
5. Throwing stuff away as you are unpacking can feel really awesome.
6. I have waaaaay too many pencils.
7. I get really excited by "fresh starts."

I can really identify with no. 3 as I am in the process of getting organised to move and I threw a lot of stuff out today. Felt great.
Liz... maybe it's time to pack and then unpack your dining room? ;-)
I moved almost every year from age 18 to 30, and although it was really frustrating, it did cut down on a a lot of accumulation. Now we've been in our house only 3 years, and we're already following into the storage trap. If there's a place for it, it will stay...forever!
Congrats on the new digs...and the new light. I'm jealous!
Eep! I'm SO excited to move to the new building next year! WHY does it have to be EIGHT MONTHS AWAY??
I've lived in my house for 20 years. I don't even want to THINK about packing up all this crap and moving.
About 4 years ago, I rented a 20-yard dumpster, and filled it with all kinds of junk. I probably could do it again and fill it again!
Enjoy your new digs!
Thinking of moving my office makes me shaky -- all that stuff! Thinking of moving my house is cause for coma! Did you get any new pics or decorations for the new digs?
Throwing stuff away is POWER!
Although Craig's List is fun too . . .
Getting rid of stuff can be very liberating.
