It started with me buying polos for each member of the family- bright pink for Teagan, aqua for me, forest green for Zach, navy for Jeff. The day of, I actually curled my hair in an attempt to somewhat tame it. I put on make up for the first time in more months than I can acknowledge. And we showed up to get our family pictures taken.

We are getting a new church directory. A young woman in our congregation has started a photography business (JMS Photography). We hadn't had pictures done in a long, long, long time. I like our silly pictures the best. Family photos- especially silly ones- are definitely something that leave me feeling good!

2- I love the silly pictures. Awesome. I've never seen a family do photos like that. That's what should go up on the mantle; those are the ones that will make you chuckle/smile when you see it.

Those pics are the best. I love the funny ones the best! They make for the best memories.
I also have unruly hair. It is naturally curly, but not in a good way so I use a flat iron and it is a dream!!! (and fast)

Love them all. The last family picture we had taken was for a church directory. At the time I was still employed by the church and had so much fun putting together all the extra pages for the directory. Since we no longer attend there, I think early in the new year we may need to have a new family picture taken.

I LOVE the first silly pic! You should get a reversible frame with the serious one in the front and the silly one on the back, and flip it according to mood!!
I also love Zach in the 3rd- and 2nd-to-last shots with Teagan. So much personality coming through in that little guy.

I LOVE the one you chose of the kids!!
Would they have let you put one of the silly ones in the directory? A family in our church all wore red clown noses for their directory picture. No one ever forgot who they were!
