I still haven't made it all the way through the opening ceremony. I adore the Olympics but I'm really struggling with the coverage. Between the delay and the constant need of the commentators to comment about inane things, and then we cut to Bob Costas for 20 minutes, and then back again... Frustrating.
Me too! Although this time I was a little distracted and kind of confused during the Opening Ceremonies. But I've totally cried for some of our Olympians and their victories!

I think that is touching. I love the togetherness of the world.
Yeah. Too bad that Esprit Nationale only comes around every few years, eh?
They don't make me cry, but I'll admit that I get all filled with national pride and joy. Even though I really don't care for the sports at all.
really?! Okay now you've got to save some of those tears for being happy.....but I do know the feeling...it's quite an awesome thing!
Can't beat a lump in the throat.
Even though I am not "into" sports...I do enjoy the production of the opening to the games...and I like how everyone comes together like that.
My favorite part will be the gymnastics.
