Handling Stress
I thought I was really doing pretty well with stress this week. I had my cleansing time on Sunday and was really as at peace as I imagined I could be. I felt a sense of calm about all the things going on.
Tonight, after a very hectic evening (busy schedule), I asked Jeff if he would mind rubbing my shoulders since I felt a bit of a headache coming on.
Heavens. To. Betsy.
The PAIN.
I apparently took my emotional stress- like, all of it... every shred, every whisper, every hint... about Zach, about Teagan, about money, about work, about friends, about the universe- and slammed and stuffed it all into my shoulders, my neck, my back.
Even after a very nice and relaxing massage from the Mister... I can now feel just how tense I am.
Emotionally- I'm cool as a cucumber.
Physically- My body wants to fire me.
Anyone know a good, free masseuse?

I'd love to find a free masseuse (sp)
Oh, I know what that feels like, not fun! :-(
A massage sounds like a very good idea, any chance you could go get one? Or, failing that, get Jeff trained up and have him on hand at all times!
I think Jeff is gonna be your best bet, short of a massaging showerhead (which I've never found all that effective.)
Or, lots of alcohol. :D
sounds like you and my wife are having the same week. I think I'll give her a massage and see if that helps. It's weird how stress sneaks up on us when we think it's all good.
Deep breaths, mama!
You definitely need a day at a spa!
I love the Far Side. I'm a lot like you. Stress likes to hang out in my neck and shoulders. Yeah, that's all I got.
This is a bit of a longshot, but check your health insurance policy (if you have one). Sometimes, massage is covered if prescribed by a doc or a chiropractor. Also check out some stress relieving stretches and such that focus on shoulders and neck. and most importantly.... breathe!
Sadly, massages are like lunch -- there are no free ones.
Maybe you could trade for one. I have several massage therapist friends who are forever trading a massage for things like rides to the airport and help with their taxes. Maybe you have a skill someone needs.
lol love the farside. Nice touch.
I know you've already received a remedy for this, but in the future, consider a local massage school; they are cheap and very nice!
