A First!
I just made my first ever pecan pies!! They are in the oven and they smell heavenly!
Next up... making the double batch of cranberry sauce. Double batch because college-living brother wants some to take back to campus... It's the yummiest and super easy... chopped up cranberries, cranberry jelly stuff, orange marmalade, chopped walnuts... so tangy, so sweet...
I'm in charge of appetizers and desserts this year. Dessert is the aforementioned pecan pies and I will make a Pumpkin Cake with Apple Cider Glaze at my mom's house tomorrow. Also doing a Tastefully Simple Key Lime Cheeseball and a Red Raspberry Cheeseball (served with graham crackers).
Appetizers... an assortment of cheeses, dips, crackers, veggies. And sweet gherkins. It just seemed right.
Back to the kitchen for me!

YUM! I can feel my blood sugar rising just reading your entry about all those yummy sugary things!
You go girl! I've made the 2-ingredient cakes before as muffins. They are delicious with spice cake mix and yellow cake mix for pumpkin-ny flavor. But make it with chocolate cake mix and you don't even taste the pumpkin.
I get to bring green bean casserole. That's all. I'm feeling a bit domestic -- unusual for me -- and have nowhere to go with it.
Reading all theses Thanksgiving posts makes me hungry! Have a wonderful day :)
I'm in charge of appetizers this year too. We are having basically the same things you listed plus a taco salad and some shrimp. All pretty easy stuff! I got off easy this year. Of course I didn't have to make the pies like you did otherwise I probably wouldn't be saying how easy it was!
