Time For A Change... Maybe...

I've been doing some thinking... I'm coming up next month on my 1 year blog-iversary. I'm coming up on my 35th birthday next week. And I feel like I need a little change. First... I want to address my lurkers... I love that you are here and that you read! Especially those who come back every day or regularly. Keep coming back, please! And maybe... leave a comment from time to time? The thing I like about comments is it helps me know what my readers respond to and like to read. Don't get me wrong- it won't dictate what I write because this is still what I do for me. But I'm intrigued to find out what people like and the best gauge for that is reading your comments! Second... I think I need a new header title. "Come. Sit. Enjoy some Lizdom. And maybe some pie." As has been pointed out, there isn't much pie happening on this blog. So I feel like I want a little header that will better suit the blog. But I need your suggestions!! Third... I think I'm going to work harder to get more Tweet-friendly. If I get my new phone (a little bird tells me that it's going to happen) for my birthday, I will also be upgrading my Verizon contract and upping my TXTing option to unlimited instead of the limited package I have now. Sah-weet!! What I need to know from YOU, gentle readers, is if I should connect with my readers via Twitter? Should I include a little Twitter update thingee here on my blog? And finally... there are new links up in my nav bar! "Pictures" will take you to a blog I set up specifically when I have oodles of pics. Turns out there were folks who weren't able to get to Facebook (work blockers, firewalls, etc) to see the pics. So I created this new page to make up for that! I don't always want all of my pics here- 74 state fair pics would be a bit much, I think, and require much scrolling! "Awards" takes you to the blog page created to keep my lovely blog awards that I love receiving!! Alright everyone! Regular commenters and lurkers unite! Give your input!

Happy early blogiversary!

I think you should do whatever makes you feel happy. It's your blog and you can do want you want to (I'm singing the "it's my party" song in my head.)

I LOVE Twitter and would absolutely follow you there. (I'm @4thfrog). I didn't really "get" Twitter until someone told me about Tweetdeck. From there on, it was love at first Tweet.

Tweeeeet, you must tweeeeet. Come to the dark side, we have cookies...no wait, that's not it...fun, we have fun!

I've just switched from Tweetdeck to Seesmic which gives me access to Twitter and Facebook updates in the one spot. Is good.

I'm drawing a blank on blog header suggestions, coming up with my own 3 and a bit years ago must've depleted the creativity reserves on that front ;-)

Whatever you write, I'll read, I don't comment all that much but I'm here!

I don't read your blog, I have software that randomly comment.

I like your new car too! I wish I had one. Especially that color.

Blog titles: Dunno. I stared at it for a while but then I played with the clouds for 10 minutes. I'm easily distrac... shiny.

I like the Eternal Lizdom part... I'd keep that... love the play on words. hmmm..Eternal Lizdom of a Cluttered Mind? (is that plageurism?) how do you spell that word lol

How about "Eternal Lizdom...It's a Gouda thing? LOL!

I love the Twitter idea!

As far as the time for a change, I feel ya! I'm just a few months behind you and suddenly I feel the need for change everywhere, from my hair to my wardrobe, and surprisingly things that never mattered to me before...suddenly they mean something?!? A year ago I'd have said Ah, just keep the title...but today I can understand why you'd want to change it!

Good Luck in nwhatever you choose! I just wish I could find my place in the Blogosphere. I've tried for over a decade and I've just not foudn my place. Maybe this mi-30's thing will bring some inspiration soon!

As an avid lurker to the Eternal Lizdom that totally amazes me each day (well, most days :)), I want to say that I don't comment because I actually only get to most of my sites via Google Reader and so i read the post and am done with it...is that wrong? selfish? snooty? not ignoring you in response, just smiling at most of what you say...you are an awesome woman! Happy Birthday and Blogday!

I never used Google Reader but just took a look. I see that someone can't comment from reader. I never figured on that. As far as I can see, that means readers can't see other people's comments either. No one can see the Alix woman's petty comments. Oh well.

Good point about using Reader, Ashli!! I know I have friends who also use Reader and I just didn't realize about the comment thing. So from now on, I'm just going to pretend that I have thousands of readers who are reading via Reader and that's why they don't comment. Works for me! :)

Thousands? That's it? I figure my blog has millions. Don't worry you'll get there. :-)

I use Google Reader - there's no way I could keep up with the nearly 200 blogs I read otherwise - but I click through to most posts, especially on blogs with a great commenting community. Wouldn't miss the comments here for anything :-)

Please, please stick around. I've been reading all summer and have never commented. I figure most bloggers have enough important stuff to read via feedback so my little "ha ha" or "me too" won't catch your eye. I'm an Indy gal and absolutely love to read what you do about town. Wasn't able to hit the fair this year, so I lived it through your blog. As for titles, "Lizzing in Indiana" popped into my mind, but it's pretty lame. You could tweet with me, but alas, I'm in the last century still and can't tweet back.

rrouth! Thank you for commenting! I get all excited to think that there is this person out there who is reading and enjoying my blog! Now, I will think of rrouth when I post about a day at Conner Prairie or the Zoo or other fun times around town!

I'm not going anywhere! No worries!

I think there will be a pie solution coming up this afternoon...
