For my friend, Flartus
I've shared before that I have a "black" thumb. Aside from having minimal gardening skill, I also have minimal time to do actual gardening.
But my mom has gorgeous flowers in her yard and the sunlight this afternoon was ideal. So I snapped these pictures for my friend, Flartus. And I know many others of you will enjoy them, too!
I wish I could tell you what these flowers are. But beyond saying... this was on a bush or up in a tree or this is a daffodil... I'm clueless!

Aw, you're so sweet! You may have trouble growing them, but you sure are good at photographing them.
And now I'm gonna go nuts trying to remember what these are! The first one and the fifth one are achingly familiar, but I can't quite put a name to them. I think the second one is myrtle. The fourth one...I've been sitting here for ten minutes staring at these pics. LOL! If I wake up in the middle of the night shouting out a flower name, I'll blame you.
And the last two...hmmm...nope, don't think I've ever seen anything like them.

PS I'm also jealous of your camera's closeup abilities. Alix is wrong; no war here when you have superior technological capabilities.
I loooove my camera and love learning about photography. It's a fun hobby! And I love my zoom lens... I don't know all the official camera lingo so... heehee!
And I'll tell you that the third one is sneaky because it's actually a tree... :)
Closeups with a camera is macro. When I change my camera to that setting, a flower icon shows up.

My camera came with a DVD and everything- I should really take the time to read the manual and learn about all that my snazzy camera can do! It's a Nikon D40 DSLR and I love it!
