Bad night last night. Zach went down at 7:15. Easy Peasy. Teagan manipulated and cried and made excuses and even got out of bed once. Asleep by 8:30. 10:30, grown ups head to bed. Drift off to sleep just shy of 11... 11:00 Zach wakes up. Jeff brings him to me and we just sit and cuddle on my bed. He's back in his bed, sucking his thumb, cuddling his blankie around 11:15. Never asked to nurse. 11:30... there is a little boy standing by my bedside. Some cuddles and back to bed. 11:45... he's baaa-aaack! And this time, he doesn't want to be picked up. He runs out to the hallway... down the hall... throws open the unlatched gate and runs to freedom!! The living room!! He's then up until 1. I kept the lights off (save for the stove light that we keep on all night in the kitchen). No TV. He plays with a few toys and just enjoys wandering around in the dark. Gets his hands on the TV remote and runs for the kitchen. Total silence for a few minutes so I go to check- he's earnestly trying to turn on the oven with it. He's finally in bed again at 1. I crash in my bed and wake at 5:30 to start the day.
I'm a little tired.
He never nursed.

You know you're a mom when...
You go to get something out of your purse...

Mmmmmmm, I just can't relate. Normally I just don't comment if I can't relate. Lately I'm feelin' kinda cocky so now I'm thinking to myself, self (I often call myself that), I should get a man-purse and carry around little action figures. Perhaps at a supermarket or such, pull one out and say "those damn kids". I'm just thinkin' outloud.
Garret
*snort*
That is funny and I can totally relate ...
Sounds like you had a rough night. Where was Bert hiding - or shouldn't I ask. :)
Trying to picture Garret with a man purse... LOL It just ain't happening!
Ahh, yes I remember those days. Except I usually pulled out half-eaten apples from my purse.
Should we be shopping on e-bags for Garret?
Oh... I remember those days. I still get those stealthy little feet that pad up to the bedside in the middle of the night occasionally, but not the tag teaming between the kids all taking turns coming in for this or that. *yyyaaaaaawn* This post made me sleepy, just reading it! ;-)
I love that he was trying to turn on the oven with the remote!
The remote-controlled oven is classic! You'll have to tell his future wife that story. Hee hee hee...
I wish I'd had the camera close by so I could have snapped a pic. It really was classic!!
