Don't Divorce us

Thanks to Tangobaby for posting this. Very moving, very real. Imagine... your marriage... being forced to divorce or be annulled. Being forced to be invalidated. Being told your commitment doesn't mean as much because you don't love the right kind of person. The Courage Campaign "Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.

Oh my, I'm a wreck watching that slideshow-- so happy for the love that all those people found, yet so crushed that their marriages could be invalidated by this ridiculously stupid campaign. Thanks for sharing this.

I can't stop watching it... I feel like these are all my friends now or something. It's just so full of JOY! But twinged with sadness... anger... but then that JOY is there again... Love it!

Thank you. That was wonderful. I hope proposition 8 gets overturned.

Wow, I was completely overcome with tears watching this. Dammit, how can you see so many happy families and still want to discriminate against them?!?? I didn't see a single gay person hacking away at the holy bonds of anyone else's matrimony. They were too busy looking into each others' eyes.

Liz, thank you so much for posting this and for doing your part to help educate people. This issue might seem like it's only California's, but in the end, it affects all Americans.

There are links on the video and in my post where people can sign the petition and also see where all of the enormous donors came from (many from out of state) who helped bring such pain through their fear and bigotry to these 18,000 couples.

But mostly, again, thank you for posting the video. Keep your fingers crossed for us on March 5 and beyond that the court does the right thing.

xoxo

I went on the Courage Campaign's website and signed the petition, too. I'm enjoying learning about the Courage Campaign and all that they do!

Make me SO mad, but so happy that there are people out there who support basic HUMAN rights for ALL.
