FGFF - YOUR Edition!

Click the buttons to visit our hosts- The Girl and Mrs4444. Here's MY list of things that I'm feeling good about this Friday: 1. I don't go back to work until July 12!! 2. I'm taking Zach to visit Little Explorers- Teagan's school- this morning. We aren't completely sure he's ready... but if he is... life would be easier, logistically speaking. It would be hard to leave Lisa... she's taken such wonderful care of my kiddos!! 3. Moscato... and a friend with a spare bottle of it. Christy, my wine buddy, gave me a bottle. It's yummy. 4. The upcoming trip to Fort Wayne... I'm looking forward to packing too much fun into 2 days! 5. Blog awards!! I love it when another blogger thinks of Eternal Lizdom when they've been given an award... Much thanks to Wordy Owl for this one! Definitely swing by her place- she's new to the scene and has a great style. You'll like her- go follow her, leave comments, tell her I sent you! I'm supposed to tell you 7 things about me that you might not know. And then share the award... It's hard to think of 7 things you don't know about me since I share so much! Here's what we'll do instead... leave a comment with a question! What do you want to know about me? Leave a question, I'll edit this post to answer it, and then I'll give this award to my favorite questions!! Thank you Missy Wheeler for asking a question!! How is your garden doing? Have you used any of your herbs lately? The garden is going well!! I did have to pull a cabbage plant- it had gone to seed. And I don't think my brussels sprouts will make it. But my tomatoes and beans and squash and peppers are doing well. As for the herbs... I can't use them fast enough! I haven't done any big cooking with them. But I did have a great caprese salad with my basil one night. And I used cilantro on a yummy dinner the other night- I posted pics on the Facebook fan page- chicken, avocado, tomato, cilantro, sour cream. ***** And something new I tried last night- I asked what has made YOU happy this week! Here are your responses!! Missy: House passing inspection so that it can be sold! Karen: Finding the PERFECT wedding dress! Taryn: Spending an afternoon in the park, having a picnic with the kids. Kari: Taking a 2nd trip to the park, sitting and watching the kids play, enjoying the weather, counting blessings. Louise: Pool time with her son! Emma: Shiny shelves in a freshly cleaned oven! Also, warming her hands on a hot cup of tea and then warming her son's cold cheeks with her warm hands (she's in New Zealand- it's wintertime there). Emily: Going to see Toy Story 3 with her daughter... and enjoying having her daughter sitting on her lap. Melisa: Turning in an 1800 word article to her editor! Cara: Spending time in the garden, picking cherries, swimming in Lake Michigan. And bedtime is a happy time (gotta agree with that one)! Julie: Just returned from sailing and has her grand-daughter spending the night! Lety: Got to spend time with her best girlfriend and with her kids, out in nature! IndyTheatre (Twitter): Theatre made her happy this week! Carol: She had a great amount of happiness to share!! I'm just going to copy and paste what she wrote: "Several times, but I think the happiest moment was leaving the nice restaurant with my sexy husband, a belly full of fantastic food, and feeling foxy in my skirt and heels. A few others include when they started really tearing down the burnt house next door on the same day my guys started tearing off my melted siding....I love seeing it all happen... See More. And several nights this week as I cuddled my baby to sleep, or snuggled with my big boy to help him settle down for sleep. Those are beautiful moments that I will miss as they get bigger." Mim: Mim had a week with many happy moments, too! "Yesterday afternoon when I read my 2 youngest's glowing school half-yearly reports. Last night as I sat watching TV with a cat purring on one side and a dog snoring on the other. On Tuesday afternoon listening to Caitlin helping Tom with his maths homework. On Tuesday when I read about Iceland's Prime Minister being able to marry her long term partner because gay marriage had been legalised there. On Sunday when I finished culling my wardrobe and my bedroom was all clean and tidy. Um, yeah, life's pretty good really :-)" Bobbi: Bobbi was enjoying a quiet moment with her kitties and baby girl- and curled up asleep beside her. How about you? What's made you smile this week? Oh, Moscato. I had never had that particular wine until last week, at a girl's night. I picked up a bottle this week (Barefoot Moscato is the one we had) and it was delicious with dinner on the patio watching a storm roll in. That was a happy moment this week.

After today I am on vacation until July 12th. I am looking forward to the break and getting to spend the week hanging out with my hubby.

Have fun on your trip to Fort Wayne and enjoy your time off as well.

How is your garden doing? Have you used any of your herbs lately?

I was excited to spend a day with my daughter, granddaughter and hubby going "antiquing" in a town we'd never been to and having a great dinner at an historic Inn while we were there! Great day!

Congrats on the award! No work until the 12t? Woo-Hoo!

I'm happy since my baby girl came home from China. Happier when she texted me once she was on American soil!
