blackberries they are already gone.
gobbled up by kids
and me
tomatoes should be ripe tomorrow
soon to be gone
maybe with cottage cheese
or just salt

Mmm! I ate a tomato with salt yesterday--unfortunately, not homegrown. :)

Two suggestions:

1) Carry saltshaker into garden.

2)Caprese salad: sliced tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzerella; dribble with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, fresh basil if you have it

My parents went to what ended up being a huge production wedding over the weekend. They served fresh caprese salad, tableside. They made the mozzarella- tableside, direct to your plate...

My favorite is a tomato sandwich on white toast with lots of mayo and salt and pepper. MMMMM I could eat several in one sitting.

BLTs, baby!! Miss Chef & her Chef are planning on making mozz. at the restaurant. Don't think they're gonna be doing it tableside, though.
