@INStateFair 2016

The Indiana State Fair has been open for 5 days. We have been twice. I am eager to find more days to go!

Just a few of the highlights from our first days include:

Putt Putt (free in the FFA Building)

Meeting Fair Royalty

Conferencing with goats (Goat Mountain by the DNR)

Field of bison (next to the Glass Barn)

Lumberjacks! (Family Fun Park)

Legos

Fishing (DNR Building)

Parkour (next to the Grandstand)

TAIKO Project (shows by the 4H Buildings)

Cheese Sculpture (find it in the back of the Ag/Hort Building)

And, of course, FOOD!

The Indiana State Fair runs through Aug 21. There is SO MUCH to do and see - it isn't possible to have the same experience twice! We have gone 2 days and still didn't see everything. You can see lots more of our pics here!

Indiana State Fair - Planning for Day One

Last year, our best day at the Indiana State Fair was me and the kids on Opening Day - and we were there ALL day. If my memory serves, it was a 12 hour day and my kids were awesome.

I'm hoping we can kick off the Fair the same way this year!

First off, if you haven't been to the Indiana State Fair website yet, you need to check it out. It is much improved and easier to use - at least for me.

Now, I think it is important to hit the Fair a couple of times if you can. My main reasons include:
- Things are new and different daily.
- You need to see things in process and then complete like the Cheese sculpture and Canstruction displays and the Habitat for Humanity houses.
- Some things are worth doing multiple times (like visiting animals in barns, eating a corn dog, seeing live entertainment)

So here is a peek at my loose plan for all the things I hope to do with my kids on Opening Day of the Indiana State Fair!

The main plan is to walk the loop and stop in each building to see what is happening. And then there are a few scheduled things we want to be certain to catch!

It can feel almost as overwhelming as planning out a day at Disney, honestly. There is so much to see and do! I can fully enjoy myself just wandering - but for that Opening Day with my kids as we say goodbye to summer break, I want a plan that we can at least kind of stick with!

First thing, we have to head to the DNR Building to grab spots for fishing later in the day. If we hit it early enough, I hope we can get spots at 4:00 or at 5:00.

So here is the (hopeful, loose, totally flexible) plan:

8:45 - 9:00 Arrive
9:15 Sign up at the DNR Building for fishing later in the day.
9:30 Sweet treats and coffee at the State Fair Bakery.
10:00 FFA Pavilion for Putt Putt and to check out the start of the Habitat for Humanity builds, head to Pioneer Village.
12:00 Head to the Timberworks Lumberjack Show in the Family Fun Park. Grab corn dogs and lemon shake ups en route.
12:30 Lumberjack Show
1:00 Head to the Swashchucklers! Comedy Pirate Show. Refill lemon shake up.
1:30 Comedy Pirate Show
Somewhere in there is a visit to Little Hands on the Farm and the Bicentennial Train.
2:00 Swing back to the Farm Bureau Building and Glass Barn and Greenhouse. Popcorn, scavenger hunt, photo booth, live farmer chat, seed kits, etc.
4:00 Possibly fishing at DNR
4:30 TAIKO (drummers) at Celebration park - while snacking on Sati-Babi shish-kabobs (meat on a stick)
5:00 DNR Building to see the fish and visit Goat Mountain
5:30 Head to Ag/Hort Building and the Visit Indiana Bicentennial Pavilion. Stop for roasted corn on the cob along the way. Check out the start/set up for Canstruction displays, Bicentennial Lego Display, Marsh Culinary Stage, Cheese Sculpture.
6:30 Find a spot on Main Street for the daily parade!
Grab grilled cheese sandwiches from the Dairy Bar. And milkshakes. And chocolate milk. Chug 1 chocolate milk immediately and get a refill stat.
7:30 Parkour at the Grandstand Entertainment Lot
Visit animal barns
9:00 Grandstand for Light Up the Night: Illuminated Tractor Parade and Hot-Air Balloon Night Glow

And here's the thing. This doesn't even cover everything. It truly takes 2-3 days to really feel like you have done and seen it all.

My advise from last year still stands:

Here's the "secret" to really enjoying the State Fair - just go with it. Start somewhere, interact with people, ask questions, let loose, and just see where the day takes you.

It's that advise that gave us special moments last year like my kids learning how to use a spinning wheel, meeting one of many State Fair county princesses, being part of an impromptu front porch banjo concert for a couple of old ladies, watching 4H pig judging, meeting characters from Hotel Transylvania, dancing in a cool mist fan, and much more. Those are the moments you can't plan for or schedule - you just have to be open to them!

Indiana State Fair - What's New?

As many of you know, I am hardcore serious about the fun of the Indiana State Fair. I did not grow up around State or even Country Fairs. I remember a county fair in Michigan once as a child. But the joy of the Fair was kept from me until I met my husband.

For many years, my husband would take vacation time from his day job to work the week of the Indiana State Fair for the Indiana Pork Producers. I thought it was crazy. Until I started going down to the Fair in the evenings to visit him.And I fell in love with the sights and sounds and tastes!

This year's Indiana State Fair starts Aug 5 and runs through Aug 21.

One thing I am very excited to check out is the new and improved Indiana State Fair app. From their website:

Indiana State Fair Mobile App presented by WGU Indiana
The NEW and IMPROVED Indiana State Fair app will change your State Fair experience! This year fair-goers will be able to plan their entire visit through the app and make a shareable itinerary from the extensive list of events and activities. Share the “What’s Hot” list with friends on social media, rate favorite vendors, and be a part of selecting the Grand Champion in our Taste of the Fair competition. The new Indiana State Fair App will be an interactive and fun way to enjoy this year’s Fair. Download the App now for Apple and Android phones!
Now, what is really cool is that there are other new things happening at the Fair that are part of this new app! In previous years, the app was almost more of just a map and schedule. This year, it seems like it really will enhance a visit to the Fair! Check out 2 of our favorite things - FOOD and The Wonder Trail - both now enhanced by the new app!

Taste of the Indiana State Fair
A “shake-up” of a different kind is happening with the 2016 Signature Food Contest..introducing the NEW Taste of the Fair Contest. We are inviting our vendors to help Celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial through food innovation with the challenge to create a new, fresh original fair food rich in Indiana history. Fairgoers will have to opportunity to feast on the competition and then cast their vote for the winner on the NEW Indiana State Fair App presented by WGU Indiana from August 5-14. The Taste of the Fair “champion” will be announced on August 14th and will have the opportunity to highlight their creation throughout remainder of the Indiana State Fair.
Wonder Trail presented by Indiana Farm Bureau
The Wonder Trail has been a long time family favorite and this year the entire family can enjoy it digitally on the NEW Indiana State Fair App presented by WGU Indiana. The Wonder Trail has 12 educational stops that take you around the entire Indiana State Fair leaving each participant feeling closer to the celebration.
For those who like to prepare in advance for something as serious as voting for a favorite Taste of the Indiana State Fair food, I suggest checking out the webpage listing the entries - if you hover over the box that names the dish, it gives a description. Top of my list - Bison Cheese Steak Eggroll. Must also try the Smokin' Hot on Rye Bread (new grilled cheese at the Dairy Bar - Sriracha jack cheese for the win). Most insane sounding food is the Double barrel burger - 3 donuts, 2 bacon cheeseburger patties, and mac and cheese. Not up my alley but I hope to watch someone try it!

Now, admission at the gate is $12 this year. But. You can pre-buy tickets for only $8 (plus a processing fee). And there are tons of discounts available if you plan ahead!!

Opening Day, Fri, Aug 5 - Sprint College ID Day - Free gate admission when you show an active, currently enrolled student ID.

Monday, Aug 8 - Be sure to pick up a copy of the Indianapolis Star. This is the day they print the FREE admission coupon. Admission is good for Weds, Aug 10.

Also on Monday, Aug 8 - Chevrolet Military Day - Free admission for current or former members of the Armed Forces plus family members. Must present Military ID at gate.

Aug 9 and 16 - $2 Tuesday!! $2 admission and you will find $2 food and drink options all around the Fairgrounds!

Monday, Aug 15 is Meijer Family Day. $20 per vehicle or group up to 10 people with this voucher.

Thursday, Aug 18 is AAA Day. Free gate admission when you show your valid AAA membership.

Friday Aug 19 5/3 Bank Stand Up To Cancer $5 Friday. Gate admission is only $5 and there are special concessions discounts around the fairgrounds.

Now, most of the new fun things are things I will discover once I am there. I am already planning days off of work and weekends and carefully planning out what time to be there.

There is something for everyone at the Indiana State Fair!!

Opening Day @IndyStateFair

The kids and I spent most of the entire day at the Indiana State Fair yesterday. And it was a nearly perfect day. We had the crankies at home and the kids were dragging their feet about going. I had originally planned on that day being just for ME - no kids. But plans changed.

I had a root canal on Weds and I'd had a lot of mouth pain ever since. I wasn't sure going out in the sun and heat was a good idea and I wasn't sure how much fair food I'd really be able to enjoy anyway.

So the day wasn't starting off with much hope of a great time.

Thankfully, I still believe in the magic of the Indiana State Fair!

We got there later than planned which meant we ended up parking on the north side of the infield instead of the south side. This meant starting our day by the Pioneer Village instead of the Dairy Bar. Which was odd because in the past few years, I always always always start my day at the Dairy Bar! But the change seemed to set us off on a good path!

Here's the "secret" to really enjoying the State Fair - just go with it. Start somewhere, interact with people, ask questions, let loose, and just see where the day takes you.

Here are a couple of highlights from the day.

And if you want to see more of our Opening Day at the Indiana State Fair, check out the album on my Facebook fan page.

But the best way to enjoy these adventures is to go and find your own fun at the Fair!!

@IndyStateFair - Saving on Admission 2015

It's time to start preparing and planning!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Step one to planning a great day at the Indiana State Fair is to choose which day you can go!

Or days. Just sayin'.

There are lots of ways to choose your big day at the Indiana State Fair. Maybe you always go on Marching Band Day. Maybe you always go for Farmers Day.

And maybe you choose your days based on what works best for your budget.

Admission to the Indiana State Fair is $12 at the gate this year. And when you've got a family, that can add up very quickly. Especially when you know you'll be spending money on food, maybe hitting the Midway for rides, and possibly paying to park in the infield.

Here are some of the best deals for discounted admission to this year's Indiana State Fair!

  • You can pre-buy your tickets NOW. Up until Opening Day (Aug 7), you can pre-buy tickets online for $8 + processing fee ($1 per ticket). $9 instead of $12 is a definite help! You can buy tickets online or at the Indiana State Fair Box Office. You can also save on Midway wristbands by pre-purchasing. Most days, the wristband will be $30. Pre-buy and the wristband is $20 + processing fee ($2 per wristband).
  • AUG 7 (Opening Day): College ID Day FREE admission for students currently enrolled in college with an active ID. Must present ID at the gate. One valid student ID per person.
  • On Monday, Aug 10, pick up as many copies as you need of the Indianapolis Star for your ticket for free admission on Weds, Aug 12!
  • Monday, Aug 10 is also Family Day! You can buy wristbands at the Midway for just $15!!
  • Monday Aug 10 is also MILITARY DAY: Free admission for all armed forces and family members. Must present a military ID at the gate.
  • Tues, Aug 11 - Springleaf Financial $2 Tuesday!!! Go get this voucher: springleaf.com/indianastatefair Admission will only be $2!! And you will find vendors offering smalle rportions for just $2 at various booths around th Fair!
  • Thurs, Aug 13 - MyBMV.com Discount DayGate Admission is only $6 with voucher presented at the gate from www.mybmv.com.
  • Mon, Aug 17 - Load up the van and bring the whole crew!! It's Meijer Family DayGate admission is only $20 per vehicle for up to 10 people with voucher printed voucher. Must present printed voucher at the gate. Click Here to download your voucher today!
  • Tues, Aug 18 - It's another Springleaf Financial $2 Tuesday!! Get the voucher and enjoy your day! I forgot to mention - on $2 Tuesdays, Midway rides are just $2. So if you don't do the wristband because you just don't ride that many rides but you always ride the ferris wheel... this is your day!
  • Thurs, Aug 20 - AAA Day: Hoosier AAA Members receive FREE gate admission when presenting their valid AAA membership card at the gate. One valid AAA card per person.
  • Fri, Aug 21 - It's $5 Foodie Friday! Gate admission is only $5 and you will find discounts on food all around the Fair! No vouchers needed!
  • Finally, Sun, Aug 23 is the last day of the Fair and is also Wild Cherry Pepsi Gospel Day and you can receive a $2 discount of your gate admission by bringing any Pepsi branded can with you.
Now, my favorite days to enjoy discounts are $2 Tuesdays and Foodie Friday. I'm also a huge fan of Family Day with the Midway wristband special - which becomes an even more awesome deal if you're in a military family.

@IndyStateFair - Best Day To Go

Everyone who is a regular visitor to the Indiana State Fair has an opinion on what the best day is for visiting the Indiana State Fair.  It's hard to pick just one day and the great thing is that each day offers something different that will appeal to different people.

Here are some great insights on some personal favorite days at the Indiana State Fair!

We love Wristband Days. With a large family, it just wouldn't be possible to let our kids enjoy the rides without a serious deal. We spend the morning wandering the Fair, let the kids loose in the midway for the afternoon, and often stay for a free concert in the evening.” – Heather Sokol

We love $2 Tuesdays because you can get smaller portions so that you don't feel guilty trying a bigger variety of foods. The portion sizes are perfect for kids or for adults who want one of everything!” – Tricia from Helping Moms Connect

I second $2 Tuesdays! We can get a sample of a little of everything for the family. My kids are picky eaters and want to eat everything so this works to get more and hav ehappy kids!” – Eghe from The Expecting Mamas Network

Amd who better to advise on best days at the Indiana State Fair than the people who help make the Fair happen?

My favorite day is opening day. There is nothing that can match arriving early on the first day and seeing the sunrise over the Track of Champions and the calm you experience before a 17-day celebration begins. And with the Giant Hot-Air Balloon launch on opening day this year, the experience will be even more awe-inspiring.” – Kristen Wolfred, ISF Director of Marketing & Strategy

“I’m partial to County Queens Day, which is Sunday, Aug. 10 this year. Having the girls here from all over the state roaming around the fairgrounds is one of our fair’s great traditions. I like seeing them enjoy themselves without the stress of competing in the State Fair Queen Pageant. It brings back great memories for me.” – Bobbi Bates, ISF Special Events Manager

“In general, I like Sundays at the fair. The crowd is normally a little later to arrive than other days and it’s usually when we plan to have my family come for a visit. I’ll try to spend a couple hours with them seeing some shows, visiting the barns and hitting the midway… topped off with some great fair food, of course!” – Andy Klotz, ISF Public Relations Director

And my own personal favorite day at the Indiana State Fair?  It's so hard to choose!

I love $2 Tuesdays for the reasons given above - getting to try lots of different foods in smaller portions and so budget friendly.

I love Opening Day and the Hot Air Balloon Launch.

I love Farmers Day and the FFA Pancake Breakfast - when I can go to that breakfast, I love to ride the shuttle for 1 loop around the fairgrounds as everything is waking up for the day.

But most of all, I love any day that I get to go to the Fair.  I almost always discover something new and I love to enjoy my standard favorites. Coming to the Fair early in the morning and heading to the Dairy Bar for a cold glass of chocolate milk, watching the Fair come to life as the day fires up, seeing the creations in the Home & Family Arts Building, learning more about Indiana agriculture and products in the Ag/Hort Building and the DuPont Food Pavilion, catching local groups on the Dance Stage, enjoying some bluegrass in Pioneer Village.  But most of all, it's the surprises of the State Fair that I treasure.  Like learning how to make really good omelettes.  Or the year my kids spent an afternoon being independent (from me) and having fun together on the midway for an afternoon. Or the year I learned about vertical gardens.

Every year, there is something special that happens at the Indiana State Fair.  And I am very excited to see what happens this year!

@IndyStateFair - Entertainment!

Some of the BEST moments I've had at the Indiana State Fair come from the amazing line up of daily entertainment.  I've seen everything from dock diving dogs to frisbee catching dogs to mini racing dogs.  I've seen amazing acrobats from China.  I've enjoyed a wild west show.  I've been impressed by diving shows and circus shows.

2014 will not disappoint!  Here are just some of the offerings that I am excited to check out this year...

Flippenout Extreme Trampoline Show - All days of the Fair, performing at the Dow AgroSciences Celebration Park.  These guys were at the Fair back in 2012 and I was so impressed!!! These are gymnasts and trampoline competitors that can do some truly amazing things on the trampoline.

Freestyle Madness BMX Stunt Show - Aug 1-10, Dow AgroSciences Celebration Park.  If you or someone in your family enjoys BMX extreme stunt riding, this is the show for you.  I've caught moments of it from the sidelines in the past but plan to take the kids to check this one out.

K9 Crew Trick Dog Show - Aug 11-12, Dow AgroSciences Celebration Park.  They're only here for 2 days so be sure to make it a point to check out this fun dog show if you're at the Fair on those days!

The Gantry Show - Aug 1-12, Grandstand Side Lot.  It's a traveling circus!  But not like you're thinking... apparently, the circus literally moves during the show.  I'm going to have to check it out just to see how that works.

ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show - All days of the Fair, Family Fun Park. Silly jokes, stunts, sight gags... all the stuff guaranteed to make kids of all ages laugh!

Kachunga & The Alligator - Aug 13-17, Dow AgroSciences Celebration Park.  Humor and stunts... but you'll walk away having learned all about the American Alligator.

Great American Duck Race - All days of the Fair, Family Fun Park. All I know is that there is audience participation and corny duck jokes.  I'm in!

Indiana State Fair Beer & Wine Exhibition - All days of the Fair, Grand Hall.  Must be 21 or older.  I'm very excited about this exhibit!  Every year, local breweries and wineries submit their beverages and bottles for judging at the State Fair.  But there is no alcohol served at the Fair so you could read about the products and you could see who won but you couldn't ever try the stuff.  Now, you can try the locally made brews and wines and learn about the process that local brewers and wineries use to make Indiana alcohols!

And some of my favorite entertainment every year are the unexpected finds at random stages all across the Fairgrounds.  We always enjoy presentations on the Red Gold Culinary Stage in the DuPont Food Pavilion.  That's where I learned to make a good, real, and fast omelette several years ago.  There are also presentations done in the Home & Family Arts Building - cooking, sewing, art, and music.  The DNR Building will have presentations on local animals and wildlife and plants.  Hopefully nothing on bugs because I'll be skipping that one...

The Fair isn't just about fried-anything-on-a-stick and Midway rides.  There is a lot to be entertained by and a lot to learn about our great state!

@IndyStateFair - Concerts!

I have to admit that previous years haven't held much excitement for me with concerts.  I did go to Prairie Home Companion many years ago.  And I've enjoyed overhearing a concert while just being at the fairgrounds.  But I'm not usually one to make the trip to the Fair for the concerts.

Until now.

There are 3 main stages for concerts at the Fair.  2 are free and 1 requires the puchase of a ticket.

With the complete overhaul of the Coliseum, the Indiana State Fair will now offer concerts in this fantastic space.  Concert events at the Coliseum include:

Robin Thicke - Aug 1
The American Idol Tour - Aug 6
Pitbull - Aug 8
Jim Gaffigan - Aug 17

There are also a lot of great free concerts.  Some are bigger than others.  I love stopping by and checking out the variety of entertainment at the Main Street Stage.  One of the really exciting events there this year is the Vocal Throwdown prelims and finals.  You can vote for your favorite contestants now via Facebook!  Voting goes through July 20.

I'm most excited about the offerings on the Free Stage this year.  My kids are going to be very excited to go see Bridgit Mendler on Aug 4.  I'm planning a day to see one of my favorite Christian Contemporary groups - Rend Collective - on Aug 10.  Other fun shows are Barenaked Ladies, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Charles Esten & Clare Bowen (from the TV show Nashville).

I'll see you at the Fair!

@IndyStateFair - Discount Admission Deals!

I've perused the Indiana State Fair Program and have put together the deals that I think are pretty exciting for discounted or even free admission to the great Indiana State Fair this year!!!

On August 4, be sure to buy a copy of the Indianapolis Star for everyone who can go to the Fair on Weds, Aug 6.  The Star will be printing a free admission voucher in the paper for admission on Weds, Aug 6.  Each person will need their own voucher so pick up multiple copies of the paper!

One of my very favorite days at the Indiana State Fair are $2 Tuesdays!  Admission is only $2 and the majority of food and drink vendors will have smaller portion offerings of their goodies for just $2.  It's a great way to enjoy the Fair on a budget!  It's also a great way to try something you maybe haven't tried before.

August 7 is State Employee Day and Honoring Our Armed Forces and Veterans Day.  This means free admission (with ID) for State employees.  And free admission with a military ID for current military and veterans and their families.

Have a big family or lots of friends?  IPL Carload Day is perfect for you!  August 11, you can fill your vehicle with up to 10 people and get in for just $15 for the carload!  (Please be safe, though)  You need a voucher so keep checking the Indiana State Fair website for the voucher to become available.

On August 13, you can use THIS voucher from the BMV for half price admission!

Are you a member of AAA?  August 14 is your lucky day!  1 valid AAA card per person - free admission!

And another exciting day is August 15 - Foodie Friday.  Admission is $5 that day and many vendors will offer a discounted food or drink item!

There are other deals to check out - so many specials and deals and ways to get discounted tickets.  If you can't take advantage of any of these special deals, be sure to buy your tickets in advance from Wal Mart or CVS or online from the Indiana State Fair (July 1-31).  Tickets purchased on July are only $7 instead of the regular $10 admission.

Parking at the fairgrounds is $5 but there is an option for parking, too.  Park at Glendale Mall's Rural St lot and ride a shuttle to the fairgrounds.  The shuttle runs every 20 minutes.  And while riding the Fair Train is certainly not free (it's a special treat and rather pricey), that is another way to not pay for parking.

See you at the Fair!

Indiana State Fair: 2014 Signature Foods

One of the really awesome things about our Indiana State Fair is the theme each year.  This was a new idea put into place a few years ago and it gives the Fair and fairgoers a chance to spotlight something important about Indiana agriculture, about the Fairgrounds, and so on.  Previous years' themes have included tomatoes, corn, and soybeans.

With these themes, there is always the coveted title of State Fair Signature Food.  Entries are made of a dish that takes the theme into account and judging occurs and a winner is selected.  One of my favorite State Fair finds came about because of the signature food contest from the year of the tomato - Ya's Ya's Tomato Balls.  I can't even decribe how good they are.  Kind of like a hush puppy but more savory and with a yogurt dipping sauce that is just so so so good!

This year, it's the Year of the Coliseum.  The Coliseum is a building on the fairgrounds that has been completely redone on the inside.  I'm very excited to see it.  The building has a lot of history to it and is used for a lot of events during the year.

But how on earth do you come up with a food to go with a theme that's focused on a building?  Thankfully, our State Fair folks are creative and brilliant!

This year's food theme is "Deconstructed/Reconstructed."  So the entries were classic dishes that have been updated.  And the entries are very creative!  The updated dishes include mac and cheese, the ice cream sandwich, lemon shake ups, grilled cheese, and a cheeseburger.

Vendor Gobble, Gobble has taken traditional mac and cheese and turned it into The Mac Daddy by adding turkey BBQ to it.

One of my required stops each time I visit the Fair is the Dairy Bar (American Dairy Association) - I could drink the ice cold chocolate milk all day long!  This year, the Dairy Bar will be serving up the Colossal Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Salted Chocolate Caramel Shake.  The grilled cheese sandiwch is made up of sourdough bread, American cheese, and breaded mozzarella cheesesticks.  Yowza!

Looking for something a bit heartier?  Maybe give Barto's Catering's offering a try - the Cheeseburger Basket on a Stick.  It's a cheeseburger and fries combined into a deep fried ball of yummy on a stick.  Seasoned ground beef and sharp cheddar rolled into a hash brown potato ball, rolled in seasoned bread crumbs and then deep fried and served on a stick.  Because all good Fair food comes on a stick!

And for dessert?  Try the Funnel Cake Ice Cream Sandwich from Urick Concessions.  Funnel cake, soft serve vanilla ice cream, sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate syrup... I'm definitely going to have one of these!!!

And the winner of this year's Signature Food contest?  Something that I think will be a huge hit - I'm going to love it and I think my kids are going to love it, too.  Every year, we love getting a lemon shake up.  Especially when we go to the Fair for $2 Tuesdays.  And there's one booth that also does lime shake ups and orange shake ups that we always hit (right by those tomato balls, by the way).  This year, Goodwin Family Products entered the Signature Food contest with their Fruit Twister shake up and I can't wait to try it!  It's lemon, orange, pineapple and strawberries, sugar, ice and water.  I can already imagine the taste!  The judges commented on the fruit bits in it and how refreshing it was.  YUM!

The Indiana State Fair open August 1 and runs through August 17.  Don't miss it!
