Hi Ho Vacations!

It's no secret that I don't believe I could have booked this trip without the help of my Hi Ho Vacations agent, Katie.  I've mentioned her several times in my Disney posts.  She has been a life saver in terms of applying discounts, making dining reservations, and letting us know important tips and tricks to having as magical a vacation as possible.

Well, Katie is here to share with you!!  So check out what she has to say and then... take the plunge!  Contact her (or one of the other fantastic Hi Ho agents - like Abbi!) and get a quote!  There are so many ways to make your Disney dreams a reality!!

And if you do decide to contact Hi Ho and book a trip - tell them Liz sent you.  It's good for a small business to know how new customers are finding them.

One of the questions that I am asked more often than any other is, “I’ve always planned my Disney vacations myself. What is the benefit of using a Hi Ho Vacations travel planner?” There are several answers to this question, and what is valuable to one person may not be valuable to another.

Do you want to save money? Part of our job is to price monitor. When promotion is released, we call you and tell you about the savings. In the past 18 months I’ve been working as a Travel Planner, I’ve saved my clients thousands of dollars in promotions that have been released AFTER they had a trip booked.

Do you want to save time? We answer all of your questions – no calling Disney and waiting on hold, no talking to an agent that doesn’t know your family or anything about you and starting from scratch each time you hear “Thank you for calling Disney!” We get to know you and your family. When you call, we already know the details of your vacation and the kind of magical experience YOU are looking for. We’ll also make your dining reservations, explain the Fastpass system to you (twice if you need it), tell you where to find Peter Pan and how to best spend your snack credit (Dole Whip in Adventureland – trust me!) Of course, if you enjoy the meal planning yourself, you’re welcome to do it! The level of planning you receive is the level of planning you want.

Who doesn’t love extra pixie dust? I can’t spoil the surprise, because adults deserve surprises too, but I’ll just say that there are some extra things that you get from us in addition to what you get from Disney, including our best tips and tricks for getting the most magic out of your Disney vacation.

Do you like to help others? $10 for EVERY trip we book is donated to the Make A Wish Foundation to help grant wishes for children in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. You can make some pixie dust for them just by booking with us!

Do you like flexibility? We can set up a payment plan if you wish, or just have you pay it in full on the date Disney requires. Cancelation policies are the same. If you need to make changes, give us a call! No problem!

And one more thing… It’s free! The commission that planners receive is built into the price of every trip- whether you book it direct with Disney or through an authorized agent. So if you book yourself, you’re paying for my service, but not getting anything (Disney gets the commission). The price you get with us is EXACTLY what you’ll get with Disney. But you don’t have to be stalking for promotions – that’s done for you! We know Disney. Through extensive training both through Disney, Hi Ho Vacations (and no, not all agencies are created equally), and our own experiences, you can be sure you’re getting accurate information every time.

I know what you’re thinking. “Okay, Katie, give me your #1, best tip on how to get the most of a Disney Vacation!” I have dozens, but the one that I think is most helpful to people is this. Have a plan. Know what you want to do first, second, third each day. And then be willing to throw that plan out the window if needed. There is SO much to know when planning a trip (which is why Disney is all we do), that having an expert only a phone call, text, or email away sure can make your trip run more smoothly.

If you’re considering a trip to Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani in Hawaii, Adventures by Disney, or a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I hope to help make some extra magic with your family!

I sent her an e-mail, via a link you posted and she informed me of something that I hadn't thought about. We are planning on visiting in October of 2013. Isabella will be 10 and Joey will be 8. She told me that once a child turns 10, the prices go up.

While both of my kids are way small for their ages I do not want to LIE to Disney to get the cheaper tickets. So Kevin and I are talking about the advantages and disadvantages of going on Spring Break (March 2013) instead of Fall Break (October 2013).

I really, want to go back in October as that is when we went on Joey's Wish Trip when the kids were 4 and 6 years old.
